In a low-scoring contest, Lexington pitcher Steve Barney was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-1 win. Brent Beaver got credit for the save for Lexington. It was his 5th of the year. The defeat makes Augusta 55-41.

Lexington used a clutch at-bat from Chris McCormack to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Legends ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Steve pitched his heart out," said Lexington manager Rich Freedland.
