The Hickory Crawdads electrified the crowd with a walk-off win.

The Hickory Crawdads topped the Lakewood BlueClaws, 6-5, in South Atlantic League action at L.P. Frans Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Hickory pitcher and Shaler Township, Pennsylvania, native Aaron Michl. Hickory reliever Randy Roberts picked up the win, raising his record to 1-2. Ronald Blaney was tagged with the loss.

Brian Edwards was the walk-off hero for Hickory. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Crawdads pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Michl said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The Crawdads, at 51-46, sit in 4th place in the Northern Division.
