Power Lose, 4-3, as Fireflies Rally

The Columbia Fireflies picked up a win at Spirit Communications Park, taking down the West Virginia Power, 4-3, in 10 innings. On the mound for Columbia was left-hander William Arce. He played a central role in the triumph. Columbia pitcher Jon Williams earned the win, hiking his record to 4-4. Todd Freeman suffered the loss. Columbia raised its record to 52-45 with the win.
Columbia got a clutch hit from Tyler R. Lilley. The catcher launched a 3-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Mike Keeney, the Columbia manager.
