Fireflies Stick Power with 4-1 Loss
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Columbia Fireflies and West Virginia Power.

Led by Alex Wray, the Columbia Fireflies downed the West Virginia Power, 4-1. Wray was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Fireflies. The winner was Columbia reliever Beau Rohmer, now 1-1. The loser was Malik Williams.

With Columbia leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Wray hit a changeup from R.J. Ramos for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Fireflies ahead, 3-0.

"Come up with some new questions," snapped losing manager Danny Palma to reporters, "and I'll come up with some new answers."

The Fireflies are now 69-29, while the Power fall to 32-65.
