Grasshoppers Lose By a Run at Hickory
The Hickory Crawdads beat the Greensboro Grasshoppers by a score of 7-6. Hickory third baseman Brandon Allen deserved the lion's share of the credit. Allen was 2-3 with a double and a walk. He scored 3 runs for the Crawdads. Brad Teeters earned the save, his 14th in 20 tries. The win for the Crawdads lifted their record to 50-49.

Had David Sedlacek not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Sedlacek hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Crawdads.

"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Sedlacek.
