The West Virginia Power topped the Lakewood BlueClaws, 4-3, in South Atlantic League action at Appalachian Power Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of West Virginia pitcher Chris Lemieux. Lemieux, now 10-6, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. With the win, the Power hiked their record to 54-46.

Had Dante Tapia not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Tapia hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Power.

"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Tapia told the West Virginia Daily News.
