Intimidators Earn 9-1 Win Versus Lakewood
Matt Teegarden, who is tied for 3rd in the SAL in innings pitched with 144.2, propelled his team to victory over the Lakewood BlueClaws. The final score was 9-1, Kannapolis. The winning pitcher was Teegarden, now 6-9. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 10. Antonio Diaz was credited with the save, his 10th in 16 tries.

Tyrell Hall had a big 2-run home run for the Intimidators in the bottom of the third inning. With Kannapolis trailing 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a slider from Joe Stoll and swatted a home run to left. It was his 12th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Intimidators ahead, 2-1.

"We didn't play well enough to win," said Lakewood skipper Steve Reinke.

Kannapolis is now 52-48, Lakewood 42-58.
