Paul Weder, who is tied for 4th in the SAL in complete games with 2, was terrific for the Delmarva Shorebirds in his team's 6-1 triumph over the West Virginia Power. His performance earned Weder rave reviews. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Jayden Hayes. With the win, Delmarva raised its record to 62-41.

Delmarva used a well-timed hit by Johnny Neubauer to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Shorebirds ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

Said losing manager Luis Zamora: "We just didn't get it done tonight."
