Intimidators Deal Grasshoppers Painful Loss
|
The Kannapolis Intimidators earned a win at CMC-NorthEast Stadium, knocking off the Greensboro Grasshoppers, 2-1. On the bump for Kannapolis was right-hander Alex Lopez. He had a starring role in the triumph. Kannapolis, at 55-48, holds down third place in the Northern Division.
Though he did not get the decision, Lopez did all he could to keep his team close, twirling a shutout through 7.2 innings, until Kannapolis eventually rallied past the Grasshoppers.
"Alex was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Kannapolis manager Brian Turek.
