Augusta starter Jamar Smith kept the Greensboro hitters in check, while his team cruised to a win, 9-1. The GreenJackets saw their record improve to 70-34.

Augusta relied on the bat of Antonio Rivera to get the win. The shortstop ripped a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the GreenJackets ahead, 2-0. For the game, Rivera had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.

GreenJackets manager Aaron Bailey had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
