Victory Pushes Power Record to 64-40
The West Virginia Power wanted a good start from Edwin Colomer -- and he delivered one. The result was a 5-0 West Virginia win over the Augusta GreenJackets at Appalachian Power Park. Colomer, now 5-2, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing no runs. The Power are now 64-40, while the GreenJackets fall to 44-60.

Frank McClellan had a big 2-run double for the Power in the bottom of the third inning. With West Virginia leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a slider from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Marshall Facey and swatted a double to right. It was his 15th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Power ahead, 4-0.

"Winning is contagious," said Colomer. "We're looking forward to the next game."
