The Hickory Crawdads scored a convincing win at NewBridge Bank Park, defeating the Greensboro Grasshoppers, 14-3. One of the hitting stars was Drew Mooney, who is tied for 8th in the SAL with a .861 OPS, who went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 5. Today's win puts Hickory at 57-47, while Greensboro falls to 30-74.

Hickory won the game in part because of Josh Valencia. The designated hitter ripped a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Crawdads ahead, 6-3. For the game, Valencia had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
