Intimidators Snatch Late Win
The Kannapolis Intimidators topped the West Virginia Power, 7-2, in South Atlantic League action at Appalachian Power Park. The standout performance belonged to Kannapolis pitcher and Odessa, Texas, native Rob Crossman. Kannapolis pitcher Mel Cruz got the win. He's now 13-0. Victor Reyes was tagged with the loss. Kannapolis, at 82-23, holds down first place in the Northern Division.

Kannapolis used a timely hit from Jon Newell to get the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Intimidators ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

Crossman attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
