Legends Eke Out 4-3 Win Versus Hickory
Lexington starter Brad Smithwick had a strong outing against the Hickory Crawdads at L.P. Frans Stadium. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Josh Roper earned save number 8 this season. At 68-39, the Legends find themselves in second place in the Southern Division.

Lexington relied on the hitting of Justin Kilp to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Legends on top, 4-1. For the game, Kilp had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Kilp called the win "a team effort."
