A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Augusta GreenJackets and Lakewood BlueClaws.

Mark Pellicano, who is tied for 9th in the SAL in complete games with 1, propelled his team to victory over the Lakewood BlueClaws. The final score was 5-1, Augusta. Their 51-56 record puts the GreenJackets 5th in the Southern Division.

The BlueClaws had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the GreenJackets going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old first baseman Gerardo Herrera came to the plate. Herrera hit a run-scoring double on a 1-1 cutter from Lakewood hurler Mike Lamb. It was Herrera's 27th double of the year.

"I like how we're playing right now," said Herrera.
