Lexington starter Steve Barney pitched well against the Lakewood BlueClaws at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 2-1. The winner was Barney. He threw 7.1 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Bradly Aaron. Lexington, at 58-50, sits in 4th place in the Southern Division.

Caleb Fallon had a big solo home run for the Legends in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Lexington leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a cutter from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Bradly Aaron and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Legends on top, 2-0.

"Winning is great," Fallon said. "It's always just guys picking each other up -- if not me, then the next guy."
