Demeule Lays Hammer Down in 1-0 Win
The Greenville Drive got a strong performance from pitcher Bryan Demeule, who stymied the Augusta offense en route to a win, 1-0, at Fluor Field at the West End. The win puts the Drive at 44-68, while the GreenJackets drop to 64-48.

Demeule, who has sometimes raised the ire of coaches and teammates with his famously lackadaisical work ethic, turned in a spirited effort. The hurler struck out 12 in 8.2 innings and gave up no runs.

Demeule, who is tied for 6th in the SAL with a 9.9 K/9 rate, moves to 7-5 on the year with 106 strikeouts.

"We didn't get too many good swings against Bryan," said Augusta manager Bill Mercado.
