Curve Get Dramatic 2-1 Triumph
Altoona ruined an otherwise fine effort from Danny Solis by toppling Akron, 2-1. The Akron pitcher threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Brian Barnes earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record is now 2-0. Akron falls to 4-14.

Sam Garrett clinched the win with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 12th. In the game, the Altoona left fielder drove in one run.

"We're scuffling right now," said losing manager Juan Nunez.
