The Greenville Drive picked up a win at Fluor Field at the West End, downing the Hickory Crawdads, 6-5. On the mound for Greenville was right-hander Alberto Murguia, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winner in relief was Donovan Scott. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 5-11. The Drive improved their record to 57-56 by beating Hickory.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Greenville pinch hitter Steve Degen, facing Orestes Abulhe, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Drive the 6-5 win.

"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said Murguia.
