Penberthy Silences Asheville Bats
The Hickory Crawdads received a sterling performance from starting pitcher Terry Penberthy, allowing them to shoot down the Asheville Tourists, 2-0. The win makes Hickory 63-50.

Penberthy was the winning pitcher. He raised his season record to 8-7. In 8.1 innings of work, Penberthy gave up no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 7. The Tourists were never able to generate much offense.

"Terry was throwing with conviction," said Hickory manager Jordan Castro.
