Power Down RiverDogs, 14-11
Justin Diaz did all he could to help his team prevail. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Charleston RiverDogs from losing the game, 14-11, to the West Virginia Power in 11 innings at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. Diaz went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Nate Scrivens snagged the win in relief. He goes to 8-4 on the season. Ali Lowery suffered the loss. By defeating Charleston, the third-place Power improved to 61-52.

Dante Tapia went 1-5 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for West Virginia. The 25-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the 11th. With no one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 9-9 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Ali Lowery. It was his 51st RBI of the season.

"Winning is always a team effort," Tapia said after the game.
