The Delmarva Shorebirds cruised to a win over the Augusta GreenJackets, 15-1, at Lake Olmstead Stadium. Tony Gonzalez led the way, going 2-for-4 for Delmarva. Ben Salas got the win, improving to 3-0. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 7 hits and 1 run, while striking out 12 and walking 1. The second-place Shorebirds now sit at 69-45.

The Shorebirds got a big hit from pitcher Ben Salas. Facing Augusta pitcher Adam Hyman in the top of the fifth, Salas pounded a grand slam home run to right. His 4th home run of the season put the Shorebirds ahead, 11-1.

Said losing manager Tony Guerrero: "Give the Shorebirds credit. They took advantage of our mistakes."
