Conditions were not ideal but West Virginia and Greensboro were able to put their game in the books.

West Virginia Power starter Alex Montanez was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Greensboro Grasshoppers, 5-1. The Power improved their record to 67-47 with the win over Greensboro.

West Virginia used the hitting of Dan Winn to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a solo home run in the top of the second inning to put the Power on top, 1-0. For the game, Winn had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
