Fireflies Topple Legends, 7-3
The Columbia Fireflies picked up a win at Spirit Communications Park, knocking off the Lexington Legends, 7-3. On the mound for Columbia was right-hander Chris Tresidder. He played a key role in the triumph. Nick Lynch got the save, the 1st for him this season. Columbia sits in first place in the Southern Division at 81-34.

Dan Wollman had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the second for Columbia. With the bases loaded and the Fireflies leading 1-0, he hit a sacrifice fly.

In comments to the Columbia Daily News, Wollman admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
