The West Virginia Power had no answer for Greenville Drive pitcher Takeshi Harada. They failed to score a single run against him, losing, 2-0. West Virginia managed only 5 hits off Harada, who had 9 strikeouts.

The extraordinarily popular Harada got a standing ovation from the hometown crowd as he left the field, the applause continuing until he returned from the dugout to tip his cap to the crowd.

"Drive fans are the best fans, in my opinion," he said. "It's a great feeling to throw a shutout under any circumstances, but to do it with the crowd behind you like that is just incredible."

This season, Harada has compiled a 10-5 mark with a 2.03 ERA.
