The West Virginia Power converted a terrific effort from starter Victor Gonzalez into a win over the Asheville Tourists at McCormick Field. The Power won the game by a final score of 3-2. West Virginia reliever Noah Cirbus snagged the win, upping his record to 3-3. Jon Torres shouldered the loss. The victory gives West Virginia a record of 66-51.

West Virginia used the timely hitting of Ed Cosman to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Power on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Not enough offensively in a winnable game," said losing manager Jarrod Dryman.
