Kirschner Excels in 13-3 Asheville Win
At Fluor Field at the West End, the Greenville Drive and Asheville Tourists were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Asheville Tourists captured an easy win, 13-3, over the Greenville Drive at Fluor Field at the West End. Dave Kirschner led the offensive barrage, going 3-for-5 for Asheville. Sam Loeser earned the save for Asheville, his 1st.

Asheville used the hitting of Nick Cummings to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Tourists on top, 3-0. For the game, Cummings had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

Greenville manager Joey Many said: "The beauty of this game is games like this only count as one loss."

Asheville is now 72-46, 9½ games up in the Southern Division.
