Win Goes to Legends in Tight Contest
|
The Lexington Legends beat the Kannapolis Intimidators, 4-3. Lexington pitcher and Brooklyn, New York, native Jeff Termaat led the way. Mike Garner picked up the win in relief for Lexington, while Alex Barriento took the loss. Lexington is third in the Southern Division with a record of 64-55.
Ron Meyer was the walk-off hero for Lexington. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Legends left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I thought he pitched pretty well," said Lexington manager Rich Freedland. "Jeff did his part."
