Delmarva starter Oscar Ramos put a stranglehold on the Columbia offense. The right-hander had complete command of his cutter in leading the Shorebirds to a 5-1 win. The winner was Ramos. He threw 8.2 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was William Arce. Jaime Lipscomb was credited with the save for Delmarva, his 12th of the season.

Delmarva used a clutch at-bat from Jim McGee to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Shorebirds ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

McGee said afterward that "winning, obviously, is the main objective."

The Shorebirds go to 76-43, putting them third in the Northern Division.
