Riding the 2-hit performance of the 24-year old third baseman Pablo Hurta, the Greenville Drive stopped the Kannapolis Intimidators, 9-1. The winning pitcher was Steve Johnson. He's now 12-8. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits for the Drive. Blake Jenkins earned the save, his 6th in 8 tries.

Greenville used a clutch at-bat from David Ricardo to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Drive ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Said losing manager Brian Turek: "The list goes on and on of things we just flat out didn't do."
