The Lakewood BlueClaws topped the Rome Braves, 8-4, with pinch hitter Sammy Bork playing a big role. Bork was 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the BlueClaws in the win. Lakewood goes to 52-68, Rome to 62-58.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Bork delivered big-time for Lakewood, stroking a dramatic grand slam home run off Harry Bakken. The game-changing hit put the BlueClaws on top, 8-4.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Bork told the Lakewood Bulletin.
