Starting pitcher Julio Rolon took care of business, helping the Columbia Fireflies stifle the Kannapolis Intimidators, 3-1. Matt Long notched his 14th save in 15 chances. The win hiked the Columbia record to 76-44.

Rolon threw well for Columbia, thwarting the Kannapolis offense. The right-hander tossed 77 pitches over 7 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 3 hits.
