Asheville got a first-rate effort from pitcher Leo Hard, who frustrated Greensboro hitters en route to a 1-0 Tourists triumph at NewBridge Bank Park. Hard yielded no runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 0, and struck out 8. His record improves to 8-9. The Tourists saw their record improve to 67-54.

The Tourists got a big at-bat from right fielder Tom Ramser. For the game, Ramser was 1 for 3 with a double. In the top of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Asheville a 1-0 lead.

"It wasn't easy, but we got it done," said Ramser.
