Crawdads Reel In 5-4 Win

Both teams had their chances, but the Hickory Crawdads eventually prevailed.
The Hickory Crawdads defeated the Augusta GreenJackets, 5-4, in South Atlantic League action at L.P. Frans Stadium. Hickory pitcher Justin Moga had a standout performance. Francisco Garcia closed the game out for Hickory, earning his 12th save.
Jeff Drnek drove in one run for Hickory. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Drnek, who is tied for 6th in the SAL in triples with 7, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Augusta hurler Phil Hill, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Crawdads a 5-4 lead.
"Justin had good life on his pitches," said Hickory manager Jordan Castro.
The Crawdads now have a mark of 62-62.
