It was a sensational day at the plate for John Calvin as he led the charge to a nifty 13-0 win over the Legends. The Hagerstown right fielder was pure misery for the Lexington pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.

"Calvin put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Danny Ortiz, manager for the Legends, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."

John Calvin singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Harry Evans in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off George Bryan in the 9th.

In 87 games Calvin is hitting .285 this season with 93 hits, 12 home runs, 57 RBIs, 25 walks, .353 OBP and has scored 41 runs.
