Walk-Off Seals 77th Victory for Tourists
|
Behind the hitting of Travis Parrish, the Asheville Tourists clipped the Greensboro Grasshoppers, 5-4. Parrish went 4 for 5 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Tourists. Ryan Brooks claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record stands at 8-8. Asheville has won 4 straight, while Greensboro has lost 4 in a row.
The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Asheville trailing 4-2, Parrish jumped on a curveball from 22-year old left-handed pitcher Miguel Enes and hit a 3-run home run to left. With one swing, the Tourists had a walk-off win.
