The West Virginia Power topped the Lakewood BlueClaws, 4-3, in South Atlantic League action at Appalachian Power Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of West Virginia pitcher Ryan Obendorf. Randy Owen, who leads the SAL in saves with 39, nailed down the save. The Power move to 73-52 with the win, while the BlueClaws drop to 21-104.

West Virginia took a 4-3 lead on Joel Blanchard's 25th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Blanchard hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Lakewood pitcher Kevin Elder visibly frustrated.

When asked about his performance after the game, Blanchard said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
