|
Tony Wise pitched a masterpiece in helping Augusta triumph over the Rome Braves, 3-1. Jules Hickman earned his 27th save in 32 chances. Augusta, now 87-39, holds down first place in the Southern Division.
Wise, who was born in Caribou, Maine, threw 139 pitches over 8.2 innings, while allowing 1 run.
