GreenJackets Solve Greenville in Extra Innings
David Hernandez led the charge as the Augusta GreenJackets defeated the Greenville Drive, 8-5, in 10 innings at Lake Olmstead Stadium. Hernandez, who is tied for 8th in the SAL in bases on balls with 45, went 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Augusta pitcher Phil Hill got the win, upping his record to 8-8. Jake Schafer got the loss. The GreenJackets raised their record to 73-54.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, Hernandez hit a cutter from Jake Schafer for a 3-run home run. The GreenJackets, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"I'll play 10 innings, I'll play 20," said GreenJackets manager Bill Mercado. "Whatever it takes to win the ballgame."
