Braves Get 4-2 Win Versus West Virginia
The Rome Braves topped the West Virginia Power, 4-2, in South Atlantic League action at State Mutual Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Rome pitcher Greg Gilbert. Kevin Carlton finished the game for Rome and earned his 7th save. The Braves raised their record to 75-53.

Mauricio Medina made an early impact for Rome when he stroked his 14th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came with one out in the bottom of the third, put the Braves on top, 3-1.

Medina told a Rome Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
