Greensboro Loses Again, 5-3
The Asheville Tourists bested the Greensboro Grasshoppers by a score of 5-3, with center fielder Jason Samples getting the main credit. On the day, Samples was 2-3 with 2 triples and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Tourists. Aaron Varnadore recorded the save for Asheville, his 2nd of the season. The Tourists now have a record of 51-78 with the win over Greensboro.

In the bottom of the sixth, Samples put his team in front with his 8th triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which came against Salvador Rico, made it 5-3, Asheville.
