The Rome Braves beat the Greensboro Grasshoppers, 3-0, at State Mutual Stadium. Starting pitcher Antonio Telles was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. With the win over Greensboro, the Braves improved to 66-63.

Telles, a native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, was dealing all game. He kept Greensboro hitters off-balance, while giving the Braves 7 quality innings. Telles threw 90 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 9.

"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Telles said.
