Lopez Helps BlueClaws Defeat Power, 8-3
A 5-RBI performance from designated hitter Hector Lopez, who is tied for 7th in the SAL in home runs with 17, led the Lakewood BlueClaws to a win over the West Virginia Power, 8-3. With the win, the BlueClaws improved to 42-87.

With Lakewood leading 4-0 in the bottom of the sixth, Lopez came up to bat against West Virginia pitcher Tommy Falcao. Lopez hit a fastball to left-center for a grand slam home run. His 17th home run of the season put the BlueClaws on top, 8-0.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Lopez said.
