Cheney, Drive Get 6-2 Win
|
The Columbia Fireflies and Greenville Drive were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Starting pitcher Chad Cheney was a major factor in the 6-2 Greenville Drive triumph over the Columbia Fireflies. With the win, the Drive have a record of 63-67.
Cheney's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 6 strikeouts in 7.1 innings while allowing 1 hit. Cheney goes to 3-5 on the year with 86 strikeouts.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Cheney.
