The Charleston RiverDogs picked up a win at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park, courtesy of Archie Martin. The right-hander helped his team stop the Columbia Fireflies, 2-1. Martin went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 2. His record improves to 1-8. Gabriel Muniz nailed down his 3rd save.

The RiverDogs got a big at-bat from first baseman Randy Faulkner. For the game, Faulkner was 1-2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Charleston a 2-0 lead.

"This was a tough loss," said Columbia manager Robby Vazquez. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."

With the win, the Charleston record is 32-99.
