The Delmarva Shorebirds, despite a fine performance by Greensboro pitcher Gregg Porowski, grabbed a 2-0 win at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. Porowski allowed 2 runs over 7 innings. Delmarva reliever Ryan Solomon picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Gregg Porowski took the loss. This win makes it 5 in a row for Delmarva.

The Shorebirds got a gift in the bottom of the sixth inning, when they were leading 1-0. With two out and the bases loaded, Tim Bristol reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run. It made the score 2-0, Delmarva.

"I like what I saw today," said Delmarva manager Tom Phillips, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
