The Delmarva Shorebirds took on the Augusta GreenJackets at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium.

Led by 21-year-old Edwin Morell, the Delmarva Shorebirds downed the Augusta GreenJackets, 7-5. Morell was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Delmarva. The win went to Preston Erickson in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Miguel Tovar took the loss. Picking up his 1st save was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Travis Glover.

The GreenJackets had been locked in a 5-5 tie with the Shorebirds going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old right fielder Jason Lewis came to the plate. Lewis hit a 2-run double on a 0-1 fastball from Augusta hurler Miguel Tovar. It was Lewis's 3rd double of the year.

"I like the roll we're on," said Delmarva manager Tom Phillips.

The win for the Shorebirds raised their record to 86-46.
