Slumping BlueClaws Lose Again
The losses keep piling up for the Lakewood BlueClaws.

The Kannapolis Intimidators grabbed a win, 7-4, over the Lakewood BlueClaws at First Energy Park. Kannapolis third baseman Al Gatlin was 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a walk. Tim Stephens finished to wrap up his 24th save.

Kannapolis relied on the hitting of David Shank to pick up the win. The center fielder ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the seventh inning to put the Intimidators on top, 5-4. For the game, Shank had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Bad luck's the only luck we've had," said Lakewood manager Steve Reinke.

The losses continue to pile up for Lakewood, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.
