Late Rally by Tourists Locks Up 5-3 Win
Lake Olmstead Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Augusta GreenJackets and Asheville Tourists.

Jason McCaleb was locked in. The right-hander led the Asheville Tourists to a 5-3 win against the Augusta GreenJackets at Lake Olmstead Stadium. Asheville reliever Brad Shealy was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Cesar Chapa took the loss. Sam Loeser earned save number 5 this season.

Asheville used the timely hitting of James LaRatta to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Tourists on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning is contagious," said LaRatta. "We're looking forward to the next game."

Asheville now sits at 82-52, while Augusta falls to 62-72.
