Visiting Legends Beat Drive, 3-0
|
Lexington starter Justin Kramer put the Greenville offense in a vise grip. The right-hander relied heavily on his sinker in leading the Legends to a 3-0 win. Picking up the save was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Joel Wiegand. Lexington, at 96-38, holds down first place in the Southern Division.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Fernando Andino? The 22-year old second baseman Andino stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put Lexington up, 3-0. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
Kramer attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
