Tourists Reel Off Another Win
|
Despite a great performance by Charleston second baseman Luis Colin, the Asheville Tourists defeated the RiverDogs by the score of 6-5 at McCormick Field. Colin went 4-5 with a triple and 3 singles. Ryan Brooks got the save, the 5th for him this season. The Tourists are now 77-57, while the RiverDogs fall to 42-92.
Hans Cabedo, who leads the SAL in home runs with 24, helped out the Asheville cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Cabedo, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
