Creamer, Suns Wallop Shorebirds, 11-0
|
Hagerstown took on Delmarva in front of a lively crowd.
The Hagerstown Suns beat the Delmarva Shorebirds, 11-0, at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. The Suns got a fine performance from third baseman Frank Creamer, who went 4-5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Johnny Grady, the winner, goes to 8-7. He allowed no runs on 3 hits, with no walks and 9 strikeouts over 8.1 innings.
With Hagerstown leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Creamer hit a curveball from Luis Jimenez for a 2-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Suns ahead, 3-0.
Creamer told a Hagerstown Daily reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
With the win, the Suns have a record of 89-47.
