Schaffer Dominant in GreenJackets Victory
The Augusta GreenJackets picked up a win at Whitaker Bank Ballpark, knocking off the Lexington Legends, 2-0. Starting pitcher Ben Schaffer played a key role in the triumph. Aubrey DeLuca closed the door for Augusta, picking up his 28th save of the year. The GreenJackets raised their record to 81-57.

The GreenJackets liked what they saw from Schaffer. The 20-year- old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Legends to no runs on 3 hits over 6.2 innings, and striking out 10.

"It all comes down to competing and our guys love to compete," said GreenJackets manager Bill Mercado.
