Spinners Snag 9-7 Win
The Lowell Spinners downed the Hudson Valley Renegades, 9-7, the largest share of the credit belonging to first baseman Bill Ledbetter. On the day, Ledbetter was 2-3 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for the Spinners. Lowell reliever Bobby Ilan was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Merlin Penney took the loss. Edgar Rivera recorded his 1st save for Lowell.

Lowell needed the clutch hitting of Jasper Pitlock to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Spinners on top, 8-7. For the game, Pitlock had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We're trying to go out there and win games," Ledbetter told the Lowell Bulletin, "and we played pretty well tonight."

The win leaves Lowell with a record of 4-2.
