Manny Jaramillo was outstanding against Williamsport. The right-hander had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Doubledays 6-0 win. Jaramillo got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 3 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. He allowed no runs. The loss puts Williamsport at 3-3.

The Doubledays got a big at-bat from left fielder Gerardo Chavez. For the game, Chavez went 1 for 1 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 5th double of the season gave Auburn a 2-0 lead.

"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Auburn skipper Carlos Lugo.
