Behind a fine performance from Lance Underwood, the Batavia Muckdogs knocked off the West Virginia Black Bears, 5-3. Underwood went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Muckdogs. Oscar Gonzalez finished the game for Batavia and earned his 1st save. With the win, Batavia goes to 2-4.

John Clark hit a 2-run triple off Steve Foxall in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Muckdogs in front, 4-3. Clark had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.

Batavia manager Jake Landen said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
