Cyclones Take Down Renegades, 5-3
|
Led by Rafael Gil, the Brooklyn Cyclones downed the Hudson Valley Renegades, 5-3. Gil went 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Cyclones. Brooklyn pitcher Jeremy Pollock got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Pat Thompson got the loss. Yorfran Carnes finished to wrap up his 1st save.
Gil contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Brooklyn in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Gil took a curveball from Pat Thompson and stroked the home run to right. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Cyclones to leap in front, 3-1.
